Acommunity-supported produce and farm store down the road from us can often befound with its Allis-Chalmers Model G cultivating a very large garden.From a distance it looks to some like a large orange spider and gets morethan one curious glance.
Most of them however can be found in the hands of collectors in most partdue to their usefulness and unique construction. They are highly soughtafter and can command a high price. We have seen them sell from $2500 toas high as $10,000 depending upon restoration quality and the number of original implements. In 1955 (the last year of production) the tractorsold for approximately $970.00.

Allis-Chalmers Mfg. Co., Milwaukee, Wis.
DATE TESTED: July 16 to July 30, 1948
A Continental AN-62 four-cylinder, L-head engine powered the Allis-Chalmers G tractor. Rated at 1,800 rpm, it featured a 2-3/8 x 3-1/2 inch bore and stroke. Also featured was a Delco-Remy electrical system and a Marvel-Schebler TSV-13 carburetor. Forward speeds of 2.25, 3.5 and 7 mph were included, along with a 'special low' of 1.6 mph. No repairs or adjustments were noted during 45 hours of engine operating time. Without additional weights, the Model G weighed in at 1,549 pounds. Test H was run in second gear - at a speed of 3.2 mph a pull of 851 pounds with a slippage of 7.8% wass recorded, along with an output of 7.26 drawbar horsepower and a fuel economy of 7.64 horsepower hours per gallon. A maximum low-gear pull of 1.143 pounds was noted in Test G. At a Test C operating maximum load of 10.07 belt horsepower, fuel economy was recorded at 9.06 horsepower hours per gallon. By comparison, fuel economy slipped very slightly to 8.74 under a Test D rated load of 9.37 belt horsepower. Tire equipment included 7-30 rear and 4.00-12 inch front rubber.

Your Ford serial number info is veryeasy to follow. However, along with a number of other experts it fails to aknowledge that this series was also built in 1975. I have a Force 3000 numbered 5A09B, thus January 9th. 1975 on the day shift. The serial number is B948007. Is this one of the last?

Thanks for adding your tractor’s serial number, giving some additional information about serial numbers and informing us about the continuation of the building of these tractors into 1975.
Presumably you know that your serial number (B948007) is one of the higher numbers and thus it is a 1975 machine. Do you know if there is any distinction between 1965 and 1975 in the ‘5′ of 5A09B ?

My stepson and I just purchased a used Ford 5000 and from the model number I believe it was produced in 1969 (E1014C, 9L03B, C254448). Does the serial number seem to be in the correct range for a 1969 5000?

This gentleman has a June 1969 USA built 5000 with a serial number of C241358, so your serial number fits in with the November 1969 date for your tractor.

I believe that LCG stands for Low Centre of
Gravity.
The LCG models should have smaller rear wheels and shorter drop arms on the front axle than the standard models. I think some of these
tractors were numbered 4110 and most of them were used for amenities work for city councils or golf courses where mowing work was to be done on steep bank sides, so many of the tractors were on turf tyres.

You made need the middle part to tell the year (9K20B)

The model number on my 5000 is E101/C
I am as sure as I can be the second last digit is a / but it should be a number between 1-6 for PTO spec
The tractor has PTO and the tractor code is B932952 with a unit code of 5H15
Can you help with the query on the model number and advise year of manufacture?

I was told today that there once was a Ford Factory building tractors in Anvers (Belgium) that does no longer exists.
I also found another person who has a serial number begginning with a “A103 …” identified as the serial number on his Ford 2000 registration document.
And amazingly, this person lives in… belgium !
I guess the machines build in this factory weren’t marked the same way as the US or GB machines ?

so : C7 means 1967
(and further : 6015 means “engine block for tractors”, 7006 means “gearbox”, AH and AK are the versions)

I recently purchased a CD from eBay that has all the parts and numbers as well as pictures of the 2000-7000 Fords. After a trip to the Ford dealer this past weekend, I found that at least the numbers Ichecked were the actual part numbers.

I believe that means it is a 2000 model all purpose diesel live 540 PTO 8 speed transmission and was made in the USA on July 13 1973. I have been unable to locate a picture of this particular tractor. When we bought this used tractor we were told it was about a 1980-82 model. A picture would be a big help.
